We are humbled by the opportunity to work with state and district leaders, as they seek to better understand and take action addressing structural inequities in the K-12 education system.
In our May webinar, we discussed initial responses to COVID-19 lockdowns and safety considerations with district leaders. We could not have imagined we’d still be at this almost a year later. With safety and health remaining top priorities, we know schools must be prepared with strategies for safe in-person learning while considering student learning momentum, mental health, teachers union negotiations and countless other challenges.
Hear from Rhode Island Department of Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green, Denver Public Schools Interim Superintendent Dwight Jones, and Portland Public Schools Superintendent Guadalupe Guerrero as they discuss what they've learned and how they are leading their state and districts through this chaos and are putting equity first as they plan for moving forward.
